EMIS Entry screen of USPSWeb attendance & absence days info

Why does the attendance & absence information appearing in the EMIS entry screen of USPSWeb appear to be incorrect, possibly the previous fiscal years information?

The attendance and absence information shown in the EMIS entry screen of USPSWeb is controlled by the OECN$USPS_EMIS_FY logical.  This same logical is also used by the USPS SIF Agent to report the correct days information through EMIS-R.

Once Yearend (N) reporting is complete for the fiscal year (the staff reporting portion), it is safe for ITC's to update the logical for the current fiscal year.

Take for example the current reporting, there is still 13N supplemental reporting taking place in EMIS-R, however, the supplemental reporting is NOT including any Staff data.  Therefore, it is safe for ITC's to go ahead and change the OECN$USPS_EMIS_FY logcal on their system to reflect 2014.  This will allow FY14 attendance/absence information to be shown in USPSWeb.

Hi Wendy, We added the OECN$USPS_EMIS_FY15 logical to the system login.com. I still see EMIS attendance and absence from last year. Any idea what's missing? $ show log OECN$USPS_EMIS_FY "OECN$USPS_EMIS_FY" = "2015" (LNM$SYSTEM_TABLE) thanks, Deb

Deb - Do you know for sure it is showing attendance information from FY2014? The reason I ask that is because for EMIS days, it will calculate based on the days found in the job calendars from July 1 - June 30 regardless if the employee has been paid through that time frame or not. If there is a W on the job calendar, it is counted. Even though we are only part way into FY15, you may see the full FY15 attendance reflected if the district has their job calendars entered for the entire FY. The easiest way to determine if the right year is being used may be to look at a sub teacher or another position who's attendance comes from AT entries in ATDSCN versus the job calendars. You can also run a RPTSUM for EMIS entering 7/1/2014 thru 6/30/2015 and compare the results against what you see in USPSweb.
